Disney Parks Wrapped Recaps Your Year at Disney

If you have been on social media recently you have seen Spotify Wrapped everywhere. For those not familiar, Spotify Wrapped (and Apple Music Wrapped) release your music stats from the platform at the end of the year. It tells you your top artist, song, minutes listened, and many more stats about your music listening habits from the year. Disney is joining the fun with their own yearly recap.

Disney just launched Disney Parks Wrapped. This is a brand new feature that summarizes your Disney parks statistics from the previous year. This is an awesome feature for anyone who has been to Disney World or Disneyland to see how their year was spent at the parks. This will certainly fascinate Disney Annual Passholders who go to the parks all the time. Keep reading to find out how to access your Disney Parks Wrapped.

So what does Disney Parks Wrapped tell you? Much like Spotify Wrapped, it highlights your top events of the year. Disney Parks Wrapped tells you your top Disney parks, rides, restaurants, Genie+/Lightning Lane’s used, and even minutes spent inside Disney Parks! They even give you a “Disney Parks Personality”, which analyzes the rides and parks you visit most and creates a personality based on that, much like the Myers-Briggs personality type indicator.

The stats Disney in your Disney Parks Wrapped is generated from your My Disney Experience App and MagicBand. Disney uses bluetooth and geolocation technology to track which rides you ride. This is the same technology that they use to automatically load your ride photos to your account and put your name on screens in the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Expedition Everest queues as well as at the end of it’s a small world when they say goodbye to guests in the boat.

Disney tracks your purchase habits, Genie+/Lighning Lane usage, and which parks you visit and how frequently, all by your MagicBand scans. For Disney, this is such a great service to provide. People love looking at their recaps of their year and sharing it on social media. Be honest, how many Spotify Wrapped posts have you seen today? People love sharing this information with their friends. Disney is using that human psychology to their advantage to create a viral moment with their new Disney Parks Wrapped.

From there, find the button for “Disney Parks Wrapped”, located right under “My Disney Genie Day”, as you can see in the picture above. From there, that will take you through your Disney Park Wrapped stats in what feels like an Instagram story.

As we reported a few weeks ago here, Disney will soon be tracking steps with MagicBand+. We expect step totals to be reported in Disney Parks Wrapped next year. Right now this only works for Walt Disney World and Disneyland in California, however our hope is this goes worldwide to all Disney Parks next year.

This is one of the coolest features Disney has released for their guests. Are you excited to see your Disney Parks Wrapped this year? Let us know in the comments below some of your stats!
