Potatoland is coming to The Magic Kingdom

Potatoland is officially coming to the Magic Kingdom. This new land will be built behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad as part of the new expansion. Potatoland will feature rides and locations from the popular Mickey Mouse short also named Potatoland.

In this new land, there will be a potato-themed Matterhorn Bobsleds ride. It will also include Potato Manion, which is a play-off of Haunted Mansion and it’s a potato world. This makes sense with it’s a small world being replaced with the new Tangled ride, which we reported on here.

Potatoland will also have a Main Street, resembling Main Street USA. However, the one thing that Potatoland will not have is any form of castle. This is because the Magic Kingdom already has Cinderella Castle and they do not want to compete with that castle.

All of the rides are replicas of those in the Potatoland short, which are parodies of the rides at Disney World and Disneyland. Guests will also be able to meet Mickey, Donald, and Goofy. Except the characters will look like the ones from the short.

This is the first time there will be meet and greets with characters with that style. This announcement is truly groundbreaking and people cannot wait for Disney to break ground on this.
