New Features Released for MagicBand+

MagicBand+ New Features Released

Disney has been releasing updates on the new features coming to MagicBand+. Some of those features include interacting with the 50th anniversary statues around the parks, light up interactions with the firework shows, and tracking down virtual bounty hunters in Galaxy’s Edge. However, Disney just released two additional features that will be available with MagicBand+ which came as a big surprise.

MagicBand+ will be able to sync to your phone’s health app. You will be able to use your MagicBand+ to track the number of steps, miles, and calories burned while in the theme parks. No longer do you need a Fitbit on one arm and MagicBand on the other. The MagicBand+ will also track your sleep. This way you can know how little sleep you are getting while on your Disney vacation. Guests may use this new feature wherever they want, this is not limited to being on Disney property.

MagicBand+ Will sync to Phone's Health App

Disney has also announced a GPS feature with MagicBand+. This will allow Disney to track your movements within the parks and use AI to make suggestions to optimize your day via the My Disney Experience (MDE) app. It is unclear if the GPS tracking extends beyond the Disney Property. We have reached out to Disney for more details, but have not heard back. We will keep you updated with further privacy information as it unveils.
