Disney wants to improve the guest experience, which is currently in the toilet. They know that drinking at Disney World is something that people love to do. Also, it’s a great way for people to relax from all of the stress that a Disney trip brings.

On top of that, Disney knows that people are already smuggling alcohol into their parks, so they just want to make it legal. Despite how great this sounds, there is a catch. To bring alcohol into Disney World, you need to become BYOD certified, which stands for bring your own drinks.

To become certified, Disney will require you to upload a picture of your ID. Then, there will be a $100 annual fee to renew your BYOD certification. The good news is, this certification will link to your My Disney Experience account to keep things simple.

Then, when you go through Disney security with alcohol, you just scan your MagicBand and you will be good to go. While $100 sounds like a lot, if you bring in ten drinks, it pays for itself. Many Disney adults are thrilled about this. Now they don’t need to smuggle their alcoholic drinks in anymore.
