This is why Mulan was removed from Disney+. Mulan is one of the most popular Disney movies of all time and one of the highest earning movies at the Box Office.

However, the movie is actually very controversial, causing it to be removed completely from Disney+. This originally started with them removing “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” from the movie, which we reported on here.

They did this because it promotes harmful gender stereotypes and Disney does not feel that the song is appropriate or inclusive in today’s world. However, after further evaluation, Disney has determined that the entire movie is problematic.
This is because the entire movie promotes harmful gender sterotypes. Also, it makes a mockery out of transgenderism as the whole movie is essentially about Mulan becoming a transgender man. However, at the end, she decides to detransition back to a woman. This is a very harmful narrative for transgenderism as well as a mockery of it.
Everyone knows, it’s unnatural to detransition, which is what makes this so controversial. She finds her true self as a woman, which many people find disturbing and unnatural.
Mulan now joins Song of The South as the only other film banned on Disney+ because it covers a controversial topic and sheds a positive light on that problem. As you might imagine, people are not happy about this decision by Disney. They see no reason for this movie to be removed and are very sad.
