A Tangled ride is replacing it’s a small world. The new ride will be named Tangled Festival of Lights. The ride will be a journey through the movie Tangled.
It will remain a boat ride and follow the same track as it’s a small world now. This retheme makes sense because it’s a small world is located right next to the Tangled bathrooms in the Magic Kingdom. For the ride, guests will board a replica of the boat that Flynn and Rapunzel sit in during the song “I See The Light”.
Guests will start by seeing Rapunzel’s parents let the lantern go on her birthday. Then they will encounter Flynn Rider as he takes Rapunzel on a Journey through life. It will lead up to the climax of the ride where Flynn and Rapunzel get to share a romantic moment watching the lantern festival for the first time.
Throughout the ride, guests will hear the top songs from the movie, including “When Will My Life Begin?” This is a much-anticipated ride coming to Disney World. It’s expected to open with the release of the new live-action Tangled movie starring Jada Pinkett-Smith, which we reported on here.
However, many guests are upset that it’s a small world is closing permanently. Some are wondering if Disney will relocate it’s a small world since it’s so popular. Many people are suggesting it should take over Living with the Land in EPCOT since EPCOT has many ties to the World’s Fair like it’s a small world.
