BREAKING news, Disney will build a roller coaster that jumps track. While nothing has been confirmed, many people are speculating it will be themed to Star Wars.

Disney Patent for roller coaster that jumps track
Disney is building a roller coaster that jumps track

Imagineers have a working model of a roller coaster that jumps off one track and lands on another. According to a top engineer, in order for a roller coaster to jump the track, it has to move at a precise speed every single time, which can easily be impacted by the weather, humidity, number of riders, and many more elements.

As you may imagine, a roller coaster of this caliber is not easy to create and requires extensive calculations and engineering. This is almost as dangerous as the Disney coaster designed to kill you, which we reported on here.

However, according to an internal source, they rode the jump coaster model and were terrified, though they said it was an exhilarating experience. In order for this to become a reality, however, Disney has rigorous testing to pass. Because of this, it’s not expected to be ready for the public until 2030 at the earliest.

This would be the first-ever roller coaster to fly through the air. Universal Studios filed a similar patent, however, their roller coaster doesn’t truly fly through the air. Many people like Jimmy Fallon are calling this ride you first.
