Disney announces Monsters Inc. 2: Coming Out of The Closet. The new movie will focus on Mike Wazowski’s love for Sully.
Here’s what we know so far about the Monsters Inc. 2 plotline. After another failed date with Celia, Mike Wazowski and her breakup. Mike has a therapy session with Sully to talk through everything that has happened.
In that moment he realizes he has found an attraction to Sully and that maybe he’s been looking for love in the wrong place. However, he can’t just tell Sully that he loves him, after all, they’ve been roommates since college.
He is too afraid to come out of the closet. Instead, Wazoski comes up with an in-depth plan to secretly find out if Sully is interested in him, after all, he’s never been in a relationship. He even teams up with Randall to get the inside scoop on Sully’s mysterious love life.
After much effort, Mike gets Sully to agree to a dinner at Harryhausen’s. Mike finally decides to come out of the closet to Sully and tell him that he wants to be more than just a roommate. That’s when Sully cracks a wide smile and agrees.
The two officially start dating and the tension is gone. Many people are speculating that they will then adopt Boo in Monsters Inc. 3.
