You can now rent out Disney World rides for the day. For only $200,000 you can rent out popular rides like Tron Lightcycle and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind for the entire day.
Meanwhile, less popular rides like Monster’s Inc Laugh Floor cost only $30,000 to rent out for the day. This is a much cheaper option than renting out an entire park. Renting out a Disney World ride for the day allows only you and your group to ride the attraction. That ride will then be closed to the rest of the public for the day.
This is a way for Disney to make more money. If they can get someone to rent out a ride for $30,000 up to $200,000 for one day, that is a huge money maker. In fact, we expect this to be extremely popular. Most people don’t have $3-5 million to rent out an entire Disney Park, but this provides them with a more financially viable option.
However, some people are looking to game the system. They plan to rent rides out like Cosmic Rewind and charge normal guests $10 to ride it. In fact, if they do this all day, they will actually turn a profit. Despite this, some people are very upset.
Many people will be disappointed when they go to Disney World and their favorite ride is closed for a private party that day. Also, this will have a negative impact on other wait times around the parks.
