Breaking news, Disney officially buys the Los Angeles Dodgers. Disney purchased the team for only $3 billion.
According to an internal source, they will rename the team to the Disneyland Dodgers and will build a new stadium closer to Disneyland. This rebrand will also include new jerseys for the team that are themed to Disney movies.
For example, some weeks they will be named the Sherrifs and look like Woody, and other weeks they will look like The Incredibles. This is a really exciting change for Dodger fans and baseball fans overall.
People are happy to see the new uniforms, new name, and new stadium for the team. In fact, this is expected to be the coolest MLB stadium ever designed, which is a massive upgrade from Dodger Stadium, which is currently considered one of the worst.
The other positive about Disney owning the Los Angeles Dodgers is that their pockets are deeper, allowing them to spend more money to grow the team. Overall, money is tight for the Dodgers.
This allows them to invest more in players to hopefully have a more successful team. This acquisition will likely make the Dodgers one of the most popular teams in the MLB.
However, it’s worth noting that these changes will not happen until the 2027 MLB season. That’s because the 2026 MLB season is about to start, and no work has been done on the new team yet.Â
