Breaking news, a Disneyland is coming to Alcatraz Island. Disney purchased Alcatraz Island for $30 billion.

This will be the site of the third Disney theme park in the United States and will be called Disneyland Alcatraz. According to an internal source, Disney has plans to renovate Alcatraz into an immersive experience and theme park.

They will allow guests to play the role as prisoners and prion guards, experiencing what life was like at Alcatraz alongside Disney characters. There is even an escape element where guests can try to escape from the island and make it safely to land.
Disney will also add attractions, restaurants, and shops for people to enjoy. The idea behind this is to take a historic American landmark and turn it into a more fun and immersive experience. One of the rides planned is The Rock Drop, which is a Tower of Terror style escape ride.
Also, The Ghost of Alcatraz, which is like The Haunted Mansion. The main restaurant will be called The Mess Hall and will be a cafeteria-style restaurant and will serve prison food. If this model is successful, expect Disney to purchase other historical sites for more theme parks.
Overall, many people are excited for Disneyland Alcatraz. However, some people don’t like that Disney is taking a significant historical site and turning it into an expensive tourist trap.
