Disney officially announces Frozen 5, 6, and 7. These three new Frozen movies are all expected to be released by 2040.
According to an official statement, “We are excited to announce Frozen 5, 6, and 7. These new films will continue to follow the wonderful journeys of Anna and Elsa as they grow in their roles in Arandale and as sisters.
We also follow along after they both get married and we see their relationships grow, despite the hardships. By the time Frozen 7 happens, both Anna and Elsa will have kids, which will will also play an important role.
Expanding the Frozen franchise allows us to tell more stories that people want to hear. While we are currently only making 7 movies, we hope there will be more to come.”
As indicated by the quote, Disney is taking a huge bet on Frozen. They see this as their strongest movie franchise and have plans to make Frozen 7, despite not yet making Frozen 3.
Overall, some people are extremely excited for Frozen 5, 6, and 7, as it is their favorite Disney series. However, others are already annoyed by this. They prefer Disney to make new movies instead of constantly making lame sequels.
However, for Disney, these will be huge money makers, so it makes sense to keep making Frozen movies.
