A second Tower of Terror is coming to Disney World. It will be built right next to the existing Tower of Terror, and Disney will call them the Twin Towers of Terror.
This new Tower of Terror will be even more intense than the original ride. This is an incredible move by Disney for a few reasons. First off, they are doing this in order to double the capacity of one of their most popular rides.
Also, the ride has already been created, which means duplicating it is much easier than starting from scratch. This is similar to Tron Lightcycle Power Run, which only took eight years to build.
On top of that, the building footprint for Tower of Terror isn’t that large, which allows them to fit it in right next to the existing ride. Lastly, as noted earlier, this second Twin Tower of Terror will be more intense than the original ride.
It will drop and rise faster, the ride will be longer, and it will be more thrilling. This is similar to how Disney has two versions of Mission: Space, orange and green.
An internal source mentioned that the new Tower of Terror might not require seatbelts, which would make the ride even more thrilling than it already is. Overall, people love this idea and are excited that Disney is doubling the capacity of one of their most popular rides.
