Breaking news, the Magic Kingdom is testing child-free days. On these days, only adults over the age of 18 will be allowed inside the Magic Kingdom.
This program will start with a soft rollout, where, starting after 5 PM on select days, all kids will be required to leave the Magic Kingdom. This will be a test to see how people react to a child-free park.
They want to collect feedback from both families with kids as well as Disney Adults without kids. Once this is proven to be successful, Disney will have entire child-free days at the Magic Kingdom from open to close.
The goal of this is to enhance the guest experience, especially for Disney Adults. They spend a lot of money visiting Disney World and buying a lot of merchandise and food. Disney wants to offer them a child-free experience, which is something a lot of them have requested.
This is because the kids are often getting in the way of them enjoying the theme parks as well as making the wait times longer. Not to mention, the strollers are extremely annoying for them to walk around.
Disney wants to continue to focus on their highest spending customers, and this experience would hopefully increase its goodwill with the company. They believe that if they are happier, they will spend more money.
Of course, many parents with kids are not happy about this because they see Disney as a theme park for families, not childless adults.
