Bring Your Dog to Disney World!

No one wants to leave their furry friend behind at home when they go to Disney World. Luckily for dog owners, January 13-19th, Disney will host Dog Days. This will be a week-long celebration where you can bring your dog with you to any theme park at Walt Disney World. Special pet reservations will be required for these days. Each pet will require an additional ticket, which will be $50 per pet per day.

Prior to Dog Days, the only dogs allowed at the Disney Parks were service Animals. This allows anyone and everyone with dogs to bring them to the parks. Disney will have pet care stations set up around the parks during this week. These pet care stations will include water, treats, and rest spots for your pup.

You may be asking yourself, what happens when I want to go on a ride? Some attractions will actually allow you and your dog to ride it together! Those tend to be the slower attractions like It’s a Small World, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Tomorrowland Speedway, and many more. The full list of attractions can be found on the Walt Disney World website.

For the bigger attractions like Space Mountain and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, you will be able to effectively do a child swap, but with your dog. You can walk through the attraction line with your dog. When you get to the ride vehicle, at least one person will have to stay behind with your dog. When your group gets off the ride, you can swap positions and whoever stayed back with the dog now gets to ride the attraction.
