Disneyland Now Allowing Homeless People in Their Park

Disneyland is now allowing homeless people inside their park

Walt Disney was full of inspirational and famous quotes. In fact, one of his most famous quotes came during the dedication for Disneyland. He said, “To all who come to this happy place, welcome. Disneyland is your land.” This quote is even more relevant today with the announcement that Disneyland is now allowing homeless people to stay in their park.

Disneyland was the first Disney theme park to open in the world. It became an icon and led to the construction of six more Disney resorts around the globe. However, the one drawback of all Disney parks is the cost to visit. In fact, we reported here that Disney World may soon have free tickets. We are still waiting on that to happen. Meanwhile, over in Disneyland, homeless people can now get in for free and stay there.

Disneyland – Where Homeless Can Now Call Home

For the first time ever, Disneyland is opening its gates to the homeless population. They are letting homeless people camp out and spend their days and nights inside Disneyland. This is part of a new initiative by Disney to be more inclusive and welcoming to those who are “unhoused”. Disneyland understands and recognizes the struggles of these people and wants to offer them a safer place to stay.

As you may be aware, California struggles with homelessness. In fact, half of all Americans living on the streets actually live in California. Much of this can be attributed to bad governmental policy that doesn’t seem to be changing anytime soon. Because of this, Disney is looking to make some positive changes for those who are homeless by allowing them into Disneyland.

It won’t just be a free-for-all. In fact, Disneyland will have strict guidelines for the homeless people inside their park. First off, they will be restricted to the hub in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Disney wants to contain them in a small area instead of allowing them to roam around the park. Also, they will have to go through a strict security check before entering the park. This is to ensure the safety of other guests inside Disneyland.

Disneyland Homeless Controversy

Despite Disneyland offering to do a nice thing by allowing homeless people inside their theme park, many people have concerns. A lot of people worry they will be attacked or harassed by the homeless people living in Disneyland. They especially worry about this for their kids as they know Disneyland is a place for families and kids, or at least used to be.

People are also claiming this is going to make the park dirtier and feel less like Disneyland and more like Skid Row. In fact, based on early pictures, this isn’t too far off. This also forces Disney to spend more time cleaning up the area near the homeless people to make sure it abides by the Disney standard. According to internal sources, it’s been a struggle so far and the new program has just begun.

Meanwhile, we expect some people will pretend to be homeless to get into Disneyland for free. It’s not clear how Disney will avoid this issue and how big of an issue it will become. On the other hand, some people support Disney’s initiative. They think it’s great Disney is being more inclusive and giving “unhoused” people a place to stay and call home, especially at such a magical place.

What’s tasteless is Disney welcoming homeless to be in the same space with your children. You spend thousands of dollars and will be worrying about your family’s safety

I’m not sure if this is even true. The picture of the castle is not Disneyland’s castle and the pavement in the homeless pics is not Disneyland pavement… as if the homeless scene was photoshopped in. I just saw an Instagram video that was obviously altered in between regular Disney video alternating with shots of the same pics above but looked fake. I can’t find any other similar official news besides an influence pranked who was pretending to be homeless and causing issues within one of the Disney parks.

I don’t think it’s a good idea homelessness people like to love a certain way and can’t be controlled so allow them in a public place you guys are making a bad decision and will loose business for sure.

Lol. I looked up the website! This is a satire website! The stories are made up, but pretty funny. I only looked up this story because people passed a similar story on Instagram that a lot of Disney haters believe is real.

This is absolutely ridiculous, they will not be able to contain anyone in the park. They are endangering children and their families. Cancelling my pass, I hope they get sued multiple times by employees and guest goers should some kind of violent act happen. They better be held liable for the well-being and safety of the guests and staff alike. Instead maybe clear out their damn hotels and house them comfortably there. With police presence. They are turning Disney into skid row!

No f’ing way! That is an absolutely disgusting idea. Disney is inclusive. Anyone can pay to get inside. If I see skank of humanity when I go there, I’m done with Disney. I believe this stupid idea will be abandoned as soon as Disney’s wokeness buzz wears off. And that will happen as soon as the first paying guest is harassed by them. Or even smells them. The idea is offensive.

If this article is true I hope Disneyland goes bankrupt. I would never take my grandkids here. But I do believe this must be fake news to just stir up the population.

As stated in the article, you said over half of the population of homeless come from California due to bad gov policy. We completely agree, Dem. Gavin Newsome has destroyed Calif. But families with children who pay out 100’s to 1000’s for their family vacations shouldn’t have to gamble with their lives just to step into a Disney Park either. Disneyland will distroy the image they worked 68 hard years to build. Bringing in the homeless is a dangerous risk to the public. We all want to help the homeless issue, I for one work to help, but Disney is the wrong place & way. Maybe take some of that Disney MONEY and find an avenue to help but not the Park.
(All this considered, this may be satire)
